Viral Marketing And Its Evolution.

Viral marketing refers to the technique of marketing that uses pre-existing social networks to produce brand awareness. Viral marketing can be delivered by word of mouth or boosted by the network effects of the Internet. It may be in the form of videos, Flash games, e-books, images as well as text messages.
The aim of marketers involved in making viral marketing successful is to create messages that charm the individuals with high social networking potential. The term viral marketing has also been used to refer to marketing campaigns which create the impression of spontaneous word of mouth enthusiasm. The issue of how the term 'viral marketing' came into existence is debatable though some of the earliest uses are attributed to the Harvard Business School graduate Tim Draper.
